Discover Islam specializes in delivering from Introduction to Islam courses / seminars to specialists courses & seminars. Through our Introductory Courses, we aim to promote respect for each other's differences, enhance understanding of Islam and encourage dialogue and create a better society based on mutual understanding. 

This course will give you a better understanding of Muslims, their beliefs and practices. It will also try to assist you with Public Sector Service development issues for Muslim Communities. 

With the introduction of the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000 and the Religious Discrimination Regulations, there has been an increase in demand from public sector organisations for greater access to courses and information regarding the various cultures and religions that make up their communities.  The course helps in meeting the requirements of the new religion and belief regulations introduced in December 2003.

The course would suit the following people: 

• Those who wish to increase their knowledge about Islam.
• Non-Muslim Public & Private Sector professionals such as: Senior Managers, Sure Start Workers, Teachers, Healthcare workers, Social Workers, Police etc. working with Muslim Communities, the Media who broadcast and write articles about Muslims.
• Policy Makers who wish to promote equal access in service provision and promote equal opportunities, as part of the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000 and Religious Discrimination Regulation.
• Those who are responsible for developing a community cohesion strategy and action plan  

This course has being produced to promote better understanding and clear misconceptions and help you promote equal opportunity and equal access in service provisions. The course offers you the chance to ask questions in a friendly and peaceful environment.
